Privacy Policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
The short version: LarLine keeps the calls, texts and voicemails on your business number so you can see them. We use that data to run the service and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not show ads, and we do not track you around the web.
1. Who this covers
This policy covers larline.com, the LarLine app at app.larline.com, and the phone service itself. It is written by VLO Labs, Inc., which operates LarLine. Questions go to support@vlolabs.com.
2. What we collect
Your account. Your name, your business name, your email address, your password (stored only as a hash we cannot reverse), the cell number LarLine forwards to, your preferred area code, and the business hours and after-hours message you set.
Traffic on your business number. This is the product, and it is most of what we hold:
- calls: the numbers involved, when they happened, how long they lasted, and whether they were answered, missed, or went to voicemail;
- text messages: their contents, the numbers involved, and whether they were delivered;
- voicemails: the audio recording and a written transcript of it.
- call transcripts, but only if the business switches them on for a number. This is off unless someone turns it on. We keep the written text; no recording of the call is made or stored.
- what LarLine works out from the above for you: a suggested reply waiting in a thread, and a list of what you have promised a customer.
Some of this is other people’s information — the phone numbers of people who call you and what they say in a text or voicemail. We hold it for you, and section 7 says how they can reach us.
Texting registration. If your plan includes texting, the details we need to register your business with the carriers (section 4): your business’s legal name, tax ID (EIN), address, phone, website and contact email — or, if you have no tax ID, your name, address, email and a mobile number for a verification code — and the carriers’ decision on it. The tax ID is never shown in full again after you enter it.
Billing. Payment is handled by Stripe if you subscribe on the web, by Apple if you subscribe in the iPhone app, and by Google Play if you subscribe in the Android app. We never see or store your card number; we keep that company’s reference to your subscription and whether it is paid.
Technical. Server logs with IP addresses and browser details, kept briefly for security and debugging; and a log of the events our carrier sends us, kept for 90 days so we can trace what happened to a call or text.
Visit counts. larline.com and the app use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser, and does not follow you to other sites. What we see is totals: which pages were viewed, the site that linked to us, the country, and the type of browser and device — never who you are.
Button taps. When you tap a download or sign-up button on larline.com, or open a LarLine download link that sends you to an app store, our own server counts it: which button, which page, the kind of device (iPhone, Android or computer), the country, and the name of the ad that brought you, if there was one. Nothing that identifies you is kept — no cookie, no IP address, no ID — and the count stays in Cloudflare, where LarLine runs.
What we do not collect. larline.com sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. The app stores your sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in; that is all.
3. How we use it
- To run the service: route your calls according to the business hours you set, send the missed-call and after-hours texts, deliver your messages, take and transcribe voicemail, and show you all of it.
- To bill you and to help you when you write to us.
- To register your business with the carriers so you can send texts, when your plan includes texting.
- To keep the service secure and to meet the carriers’ rules for business messaging.
- To alert ourselves when something breaks. Those alerts name your business and number; they never include the contents of a message or a voicemail.
Voicemail transcripts are produced by a speech-to-text model running on our hosting provider’s infrastructure. Your audio is not used to train anything.
The assistant. On the AI Pro plan, LarLine reads the texts on your number, and your voicemail and call transcripts, to do two things for you: draft a reply you can send, and pull out what you have told a customer — an appointment, a callback, an invoice you said you would send — so it can remind you and warn you if you promise two people the same time. Three things about this matter more than the rest:
- The assistant never sends anything. A draft is a suggestion sitting in the thread. Nothing goes to a customer from it unless you read it and send it yourself. (The missed-call and after-hours texts are different — those are the fixed message you wrote, sent automatically, and they are not written by the assistant.)
- It does not leave our hosting provider. The models run on Cloudflare, the same infrastructure that already holds your data. Nothing is sent to an outside AI company.
- Nothing of yours trains anything. Not your messages, not your voicemail, not your transcripts.
Your calendar. On the AI Pro plan you can choose to add what you have promised customers to your own calendar, from Settings. If you do, the calendar service you add it to — Apple, Google or another — fetches those promises from a private link, including the customer’s name or number and the words they were promised in, and keeps them under its own privacy policy. Nothing is sent unless you turn this on, and turning it off in Settings stops the link at once.
4. Who else sees it
We share data only with the companies we need to run LarLine, and only what each one needs:
- Telnyx, the telephone carrier that provides your number and carries every call and text. Like any carrier, it handles the numbers and contents of your traffic in order to deliver it.
- The Campaign Registry and the mobile carriers, through Telnyx, when your plan includes texting: they receive your business’s registration details (section 2) to verify your business and approve it to send texts. The Campaign Registry is the US texting industry’s registry and keeps them under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, which hosts LarLine and stores your data, including voicemail audio, and runs the AI models LarLine uses — the one that transcribes voicemail and calls, and the one that drafts replies and picks out what you promised. Its Turnstile check on our signup page looks at your browser to tell people from bots, and its Web Analytics counts visits to larline.com and the app without cookies (section 2).
- Stripe, which takes your payment on the web and holds your card details under its own privacy policy.
- Apple and Google, when you subscribe inside the iPhone or Android app: they take that payment under their own privacy policies, and tell us only which subscription it is and whether it is paid.
- Google Fonts, from which larline.com loads its typefaces, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads. The app does not do this.
We will also disclose data if the law requires it or to protect people from harm. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or give it to anyone else.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account, messages, calls and voicemails, and the drafts and reminders LarLine works out from them: for as long as your account exists, so your history is there when you look for it.
- Your texting registration details: while your account exists, so a refused registration can be corrected and sent again; deleted with your account. What The Campaign Registry and the carriers keep is under their own policies.
- Carrier event logs: 90 days.
- After you cancel: your number is held for 30 days in case you come back. Email us and we will delete your account and everything in it; otherwise we delete it within 90 days of cancellation.
- If you delete your account in the app: your sign-in goes at once and permanently — your email address, your name and your password are erased, and nobody signs in to that business again. Your number is released to the carrier immediately and cannot be recovered. Your messages, calls, voicemails and contacts are not erased in that moment: they are kept, unreachable, and deleted within 90 days, the same as any other cancellation. Email us if you want them erased sooner.
6. Your choices and rights
Everything we hold about your number is visible in the app. You can change your account details there, and you can delete your account yourself in the app — Settings, at the bottom — which cancels your subscription, releases your number and removes your sign-in for good. You can also email us to get a copy of your data, correct something, or have what is left erased. We answer within 30 days.
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell personal information and never have. Residents of other places with privacy laws have the equivalent rights, and the same email address.
7. If you called or texted a LarLine number
Your phone number and what you said are stored for the business you contacted, the way they would be on any business phone. That business decides how to use them and how to respond. If you want something removed, ask the business, or email us at support@vlolabs.com and we will help.
If that business is on our AI Pro plan, what you send is also read by an automated model, to draft a reply for them and to note anything they promised you. It runs on our hosting provider’s systems, is not sent to an outside AI company, and is not used to train anything. A person still reads and sends every reply you get. If the business has added its promises to its own calendar, an appointment you made with them, with your name or number, appears in that calendar too.
8. Security
Data travels encrypted between you, us and our providers. Passwords are stored hashed, access is by token, and only the people who need to reach a customer’s data can. No system is perfectly secure, and if something happens to your data we will tell you.
9. Children
LarLine is for businesses and for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think we have, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and we will email you before any change that matters takes effect.
